Mother of the Bride & Groom Dresses | Bridesmaids Dresses

Traditionally, the Mother of the Bride will choose a dress based on the formality of the wedding taking into account the time of day and venue the ceremony and reception will take place. Often the color of the dress will coordinate to the wedding color pallet while taking care to choose a color that is different from the Bridesmaids dresses.  Once the Mother of the Bride has chosen her dress the Mother of the Groom use her choices as a dress code and will select a dress in a color and style that is of the same level of formality and complimentary to the Mother of the Bride dress. There is not a specific criteria, such as dresses with sleeves or a jacket that is required to be considered a Mother's Dress. Ultimately, as with all formal dresses, the Mother's Dress is an expression of the woman wearing it. 

We encourage you to visit us Monday - Friday to try on Mother of the Bride and Groom Dresses during Prom season, in February, March and April. There can often be a wait for fitting rooms on Saturdays and Sundays during these peak months.

The dresses for sale on our website are a selection of the dresses we have available to try on in our Hillsborough, NC retail store. There will always be a larger selection of dresses in store. Please know that our website inventory is constantly updating to match our in-store inventory as dresses sell in store.  We will inspect every dress sold online before fulfilling your order.
